COVENANT

(06,24,2024) Covenant is a formal agreement such as the conditional promises which God had made to humanity. God had formulated a covenant with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Paradise. But, Adam had made the choice for humanity to govern themselves. From then on, things did not go well for mankind! Soon, God had to wash away the hordes of immoral people that plagued the planet. But, before doing so, God made a covenant with Noah, so that Noah and his family would be saved from the deluge. Then came the covenant which God had made with Abraham, in which God promised that mankind’s Savior would come from Abraham’s bloodline. This was followed by the most popular covenant of them all, the Ten Commandments, which God created with the Israelites, while this lost tribe wandered in the desert for forty years. God also created a vessel in which to contain the two tablets on which the commandments had been inscribed. This ‘safety vault’ had become known as the ‘Ark of the Covenant’. The Israelites took it with them everywhere. To this day, most of mankind’s governments have referred to the ten commandments as a guideline for creating their own laws, by which they judge their own people. However, the atrocities, that men bestowed on one another, were so heinous and the immoral acts so unforgiveable, that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, had to be sacrificed in order to atone for the sins of mankind. But, before Jesus died, he had made a promise to his apostles. Jesus Christ revealed, as documented in the book of revelation, that there would come a time when wicked men would have to atone for their sins. Some refer to this time as the ‘Day of Atonement’. Others know it as ‘Judgement Day’, or the ‘End of Days’, when life, as we know it, comes to a halt. However, in his revelation, Jesus stated that, while the wicked were being punished, the innocent will continue to live a peaceful existence on Earth. Hence the term, “The meek shall inherit the earth!” One might see this as a covenant, between Jesus and his apostles, in which Jesus promised the apostles that there would be a positive outcome for all their work. While all former covenants have been fulfilled, this latter one remains in the midst of fulfillment. Indeed, the end of days are upon us. All of the signs, mentioned by Jesus in his revelation, are blatantly evident for all to see. Just look at how world governments have changed. Across Europe, Asia and South America, democracy is being replaced by far right extremism and those nationalist parties whose roots are tied to neo Nazis and/or white supremacism! Dictators use sham elections to place themselves in power. Corrupt officials and military might continue to enable those dictators who are becoming all too numerous. One would think that this could never happen in North America. And yet, the United States of America has a former president, a convicted felon who has been twice impeached, found guilty of two sexual assaults and indicted for countless other crimes, running for a second term in office. The really sad thing is that almost half of the country is still supporting this man. Of course, I am speaking about the P.O.T.A.S. (President of the American Supremacists). The P.O.T.A.S. likes to associate with the afore mentioned dictators who he wishes to emulate. About the only true words, to come out of his mouth, is the statement that he aspires to be just like Putin and/or president Xi of China. The P.O.T.A.S.’ desire to be dictator has led him to attempt to overthrow the American government and destroy the Constitution. As their president, the P.O.T.A.S. would make his own laws and seek revenge on all of his rivals. He will ally himself with the other dictators, making the world a much more dangerous place for righteous people. All over the world, we are at the brink of being overwhelmed by those who care nothing for their fellow man, but only for their own selfish desires and needs. With Putin’s cold strategic attack and ruthless invasion of Ukraine, and President Netanyahu’s relentless bombardment of Gaza, war crimes are at an all time high. All of the Communist Nations are forming alliances, in preparation for a third world war. Never before has nuclear war seemed so imminent! These are the times of which Jesus spoke, in his revelation to the apostles. Good people are battling pure evil. They stand on the edge of a precipice with a weary outlook as to the outcome. Once upon a time America had a sort of peace treaty with Iran, that hindered the proliferation of nuclear armaments. But, thanks to the P.O.T.A.S and his buddy, Netanyahu,, who lied about Iran, that treaty has been torn up, and, instead of having an ally in Iran, America has an enemy, who is now stocking nuclear arms. And a reluctant president of the United States is being forced to take sides with Israel. The term, “Damned if you do and damned if you don’t!”, comes to mind, as one envisions Biden who is being condemned by both sides as they square off. Iran has sided with the Palestinians in Gaza, and accuse President Biden of supporting Israel in their attacks on Gaza. Even some of Biden’s own people have made this same accusation. Then, you have Netanyahu saying that Biden is refusing to aid Israel and, of course, others of Biden’s own people, who claim that he is not doing enough to support Israel. Talk about being ‘between a rock and a hard place’! One could say that this is not even America’s war! And one could also say the same for what is happening in Ukraine. However, humanitarian issues are involved and someone has to defend the innocent who are always the ones to suffer the most. We have all seen Putin’s tactics before, where he overthrows neighbouring countries in an attempt to regain the glory of old mother Russia. Putin takes what he wants, and gets away with it, simply because he can. But, if he is not stopped, his goal would become world domination. NATO recognizes this fact! That is why they have become involved. The democratic nations, which are still left, are throwing their support behind Ukraine, paving the way for Ukraine to become a member of NATO, much to Putin’s chagrin. These days of suffering had been foreseen by Jesus Christ, who then promised that the world will witness a savior who would smite the evildoers in the name of righteousness, and they will be no more. In that same revelation to the apostles, Jesus promised that peace would reign for a thousand years. So, you see, it was not the end of all living things, or people, that Jesus spoke of, in reference to the end of days, just the end of wicked things! Life, as we knew it, would end, to be replaced by a paradise on Earth. Jesus spoke of an Age of Enlightenment, where we are awakened to our full potential and become aware of what bountiful gifts await a civilization which is concentrated only on doing right and making the world a better environment for enriching and healing the mind, body and soul. Do you recall the Ark of the Covenant, of which I spoke earlier? Do you find it curious or, more correctly, frightening, that the majority of men, today, are more interested in the ark itself, instead of the contents for which it was built? It proves that men are not interested in the actual tablets that God created, which connect us directly to God. Imagine having those tablets in your hands! Instead, men would rather have the ark because they perceive it to have awesome power. Since it was used to protect the Israelites, it is viewed as having the potential for creating mass destruction. This proves that most men are prone to violence incapable of being rational.
