(07,22,2022) Malefic is a term used to describe those who are either a product of evil or who produce evil, such as those members of the senate and congress who were a part of the former administration which supported the former republican president, the P.O.T.A.S. (President of the American Supremacists). It also specifically describes the P.O.T.A.S. and his friend, Putin, the Russian president who is currently inflicting terror and death on the innocent people of Ukraine. The Ukrainians have done nothing to earn this wrath except get in the way of Putin and his insatiable greed for more power, land and resources. The malefic actions of Putin amount to the attempted genocide of the entire population of one nation. While many world leaders are stepping down, these days, either because of their ineffectiveness, a lack of confidence or inappropriate behavior, the president of Russia maintains control of his people with fear. In him, they recognize a malevolence comparable only to the prince of darkness who, coincidently, also wants control of the world. That is why Putin’s own people have accurately characterized him as ‘Putan’ , a malefic conjoining of Putin and Satan. One can aptly portray the white supremacist supporters of P.O.T.A.S., such as the Oath keepers and Proud boys, etc., as being malefic by nature, for their willingness to kill anyone who opposes them. So, how do the good people of the world combat such evil forces? To begin with, we have to do more than just offer aid and comfort to those suffering in Ukraine. And I’m not just talking about more troops and armaments for Ukraine, although that would be helpful in their war against the tyrant. But, we must be able to have an open dialogue with the people of Russia. Clearly, they do not want this war any more than the Ukrainians. The Russian people are trapped and suffering at the hands of Putin, as well. We cannot blame them for the actions of their dictator. Just as it would be wrong to blame all of the American people for the actions of the P.O.T.A.S., their former president, we must show some compassion and understanding for the Russian people who are currently plagued by an even worse fate. At least, the Americans had the chance to vote out the P.O.T.A.S., although he still denies ever losing the election. But, the Russians are not given such an opportunity, because their president kills or jails all of his rivals. Those who oppose him, can simply disappear. Putin has already changed the law, in Russia, so that he can remain president for as long as he likes. In fact, he can do anything he likes, and, seemingly, no one can touch him. In effect, Putin has placed himself above the law, just like his friend, the P.O.T.A.S. and made himself king or emperor, something to which the P.O.T.A.S. aspires. It would be a joke to say that the Russian government is in charge. They have rendered complete control to Putin, giving him free rein. The Russian people need the support of the rest of the world, if they are to oust this dictator. Life was dismal and meager enough, for them, before this war. Now, because of their evil leader and his voracious appetite for power, the Russian people suffer even more due to the ever increasing sanctions put on their country by other countries who oppose Putin’s war. So far, these sanctions appear to only affect regular citizens of Russia. Putin and his cronies have everything they need. While the Russian people suffer, Putin has stepped up his campaign against Ukraine, with no sign of letting up, regardless of the sanctions placed on him or the oligarchs. Again, only the innocent people suffer. I am simply pointing out these facts so that we do not forget that there is only one person who is responsible for this war in Ukraine, and that is Putin. It is wrong to blame the Russian people and loathe them for Putin’s greed. In times past, the American government showed no qualm when it came to supporting a nation’s people who wanted to start a revolution against the dictator of their country. This happened many times, in countries of South America, for example. Unfortunately, the dictator was often replaced with another tyrant, only one with whom the American government could deal. But, in theory at least, these countries were given the opportunity to set up a new government, preferably a democratic one whereby leaders were elected by the people and not appointed by the military regime who led the revolution. Actual results may have varied and not always achieved the desired results, but, one can agree on the emphasis of the action. At least, something was being done to try and right a wrong and give the citizens a fighting chance. I do agree with all that is being done to help the Ukrainian people and would go so far as to say that it is not enough. Direct force is required against Putin, right now, on the ground. Anything less would be a sign of weakness, as far as Putin is concerned. But, we also have to refrain from casting the Russian people as the villains in this war, for they, themselves, are also victims of the real villain, Putin. In the South American countries, of which I spoke, the regular citizens were seen as victims of a cruel dictator, and so, attempts were made to liberate them. Today, we see this same scenario being repeated in North Korea and China. Likewise, in Russia, the innocent civilians are victims who are tyrannically controlled by the most ruthless dictator in the world. They, too, require and desire liberation. It is up to the peace-loving countries of the world to provide all the assistance humanly possible and, hopefully, that would put an end to Putin’s war and his entire campaign of terror on the whole world, including his own people. The Russian people are not the enemy! Putin is the enemy! Supporting a Russian revolution and ousting Putin, should be the prime objective in this current war. Obviously, negotiating with the likes of Putin is not an option! The American President, Joe Biden, made many good deals and paved the way to many contacts with highly placed individuals, in Russia, while he served as Obama’s vice president. Perhaps one or more of those contacts could provide an opening for a dialogue between America and those Russian people who would prefer to do business with America rather than make war. There is always a way if you look for it and ‘give peace a chance’. There is also always hope. For example, there is still hope for the good members of the Republican party. After all, they are not all malefic like the P.O.T.A.S. and his cronies. The trustworthy, honest Republicans who opposed the P.O.T.A.S., and drew up petitions against him, are finally making the move for which I have been waiting for years. Republican lawmakers, who I believe are associated with the Lincoln lawyers, are encouraging the former vice president, Mike Pence, to run against the P.O.T.A.S. in the upcoming election. Finally, some level headed Republicans are trying to right a dreadful wrong and bring back some semblance of law and order to their party that was hi-jacked by a greedy, narcissistic, mad conman. Everyone knows that Pence would like to run for president and he showed courage when he refused to do the P.O.T.A.S.’ bidding during the Jan.6 riot. But, does he he have the courage to go up against the P.O.T.A.S. after all the threats that were made on his life? I have to admit that it would be one hell of a debate to watch, with the P.O.T.A.S., at one side of the stage, accusing Pence of not doing the right thing, thereby implicating himself in the insurrection, while Pence, at the other end of the stage, points a finger accusing the P.O.T.A.S. of inciting the rioters to hang him. Pence could also point out that the P.O.T.A.S.’ dereliction of duty, during those perilous one hundred and eighty seven minutes on Capitol Hill, brought about, for an entire nation, a case of mass despondency.
